If you’re already blogging, email marketing and posting in LinkedIn Groups, LinkedIn Publishing can be the perfect complement.
Because…used effectively…it will dramatically increase your visibility, grow your list and attract more of your Ideal Clients and Partners (and Employers!) to you.
Here are my do’s and don’ts for starting with LinkedIn Publishing and how to maximize your effectiveness:
1. DO: As with your blog, email newsletter and posting to LinkedIn Groups, you must provide value.
2. DO: Post a compelling image. This image will appear in various sizes all over LinkedIn…from your profile, to your activity feed, to LinkedIn Pulse…so make it engaging.
3. DON’T: Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to invite the 330+ million readers from all of LinkedIn to take the next step with you. As I mentioned in my post yesterday, if you want to grow your business, it’s imperative to effectively promote yourself.
4. DO: Post consistently. It’s more important that you’re top of mind and visible on all of LinkedIn than be concerned about timing and duplicate updates. And besides…if you’re providing value and writing about what engages your Ideal Audience, they will be glad for additional reminders.
BONUS TIP: When you post to LinkedIn Groups, the owner will sometimes control when your post are approved. So again, the most important thing is that you get your message out consistently.
