I’m an entrepreneurial business owner and want to use Social Media Marketing strategies to get more clients, Christine. Where and how do you recommend I start? Thank you!

Christine: “Hi Vic, and congratulations on wanting to use Social Media Marketing strategies to get more clients for your business!
Whether you choose LinkedIn, FaceBook, Twitter or others, you’ll be growing your business and also increasing your online visibility! My advice on where and how to get started is to focus on ONE social media site at a time.
The biggest mistake I see many entrepreneurs and business owners make is trying to do too much at once, and your focus gets diluted. Having a optimized SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILE for each site you are on will ensure maximum response and sales.
What are Social Media Marketing Strategies for businesses?
Social Media Marketing strategies for business are when you use Social Media sites to get more clients.
Social Media Marketing strategies are fabulous avenues to generate business and increase your online visibility.
I basically have 5 steps to get started with Social Media Marketing strategies.
With my private marketing coaching clients, I walk through them in great detail and include actual examples and step-by-step formulas.
But to get you started, here’s a brief description of each step and how it works. You can use social media marketing strategies for any business whose Ideal Clients are online, but for the sake of this article, let’s assume we’re talking about a professional service, like your business.
1. Determine your audience.
Before you even open a Social Media account, decide who you want to engage. Are they consumers, businesses, professionals, age, interests, goals, etc.?
For example, if you want to get more tax clients, you would want to engage everyone who hires a professional to complete their taxes for them.
2. Find out where your audience is.
Again, you can do these steps even before your Social Media accounts are active. In fact, many experts recommend you create a profile of your audience BEFORE you even start posting. Find out where your audience is most receptive. Where are your best clients active?
3. Create compelling, value-rich content.
What is your audience talking about, what improvement, solution, transformation do they want? Use searches to discover what’s important to them.
3. Set up your account.
Log-in to the site where your audience is most receptive, set up your new profile, and complete it with keyword and value-rich content.
4. Promote online.
When everything is ready, it’s time to start promoting and posting!
The first people you want to alert are those who have already bought from you and are part of your online network.
It’s my most responsive audience, and this will be your most responsive audience, too. Send them a short and sweet email as well.
Your only objective is to drive them to your social media profile, where they can connect, further engage with you and buy.
To make them feel special, give them a special discount or bonus that’s just for them when they take those actions. And give them a deadline to respond by.
5. Be consistent.
Once your Social Media accounts are launched, don’t let them wither away and die!
Keep the momentum going.
Make sure you highlight them on your website and in your newsletter, and that it’s also easy for visitors to find the icon links on your website.
What you’re reading right now is a great example…I am answering a great reader question but also sharing it on my Social Media accounts and letting you know about my powerful marketing coaching. That’s what you want if you’d like great detail, actual examples, and step-by-step formulas.
BONUS TIP: Give them a reason to deepen their engagement and buy today!
People are so busy these days that they will put off ANY decision possible.
So, you will ALWAYS get more sales when you give people a reason to buy what you’re offering in your Social Media content NOW and not later.
For example: Put a time limit on your offer or have a limited quantity available.
That should help get you started!”
To your Social Media Marketing strategies success,
