Think of it as your Klout score, but for sales and just for LinkedIn.
LinkedIn Social Selling Index
Simply put, your LinkedIn Social Selling Index is based on your activity in four areas that LinkedIn has found correlate to sales success: your profile, your sharing, your communicating, and your searching.
According to LinkedIn, the average Social Selling Index score is only 22.8 points out of 100.
As you can see in the picture above, my score is 83…with a basic account!
Here are simple steps you can take today to increase your LinkedIn Social Selling Index and maximize your sales success:
1. Establish Yourself
Complete your profile with your Ideal Client in mind.
Position yourself as an expert and thought leader by publishing value-rich posts.
2. Research Your Ideal Clients
Use LinkedIn search to research your Ideal Clients.
3. Engage your Ideal Clients
Share conversation-worthy updates to create and grow relationships with your contacts and keep you top of mind.
BONUS TIP: Make your LinkedIn updates so compelling they go viral and increase your visibility!
4. Build Relationships
Connect and establish trust with your Ideal Clients and your network.
Position yourself as legitimate and credible in your messages and groups. In short…be who you say you are.
Of course the ultimate measure of your sales success is the revenue you generate.
