Your LinkedIn Publishing Posts Visibility
There are three primary ways your LinkedIn Publishing posts get seen by your LinkedIn network:
1. Home Page Feeds
When you create a LinkedIn Publishing post, a “member published” activity is distributed to all your 1st degree connections as well as your followers.
Important: Viral activity on your LinkedIn Publishing post…comments, likes, and reshares…gets your article additional distribution beyond your 1st degree network, and gets you distribution to additional people who can follow you.
When you create a LinkedIn Publishing post, the LinkedIn system alerts your connections and followers via notifications.
3. LinkedIn Pulse Emails
LinkedIn sends out daily or weekly Pulse emails to your contacts and followers notifying them of your new LinkedIn Publishing posts.
Important: Low Quality and Spam Filtering of LinkedIn Publishing Posts
Before distributing your article in your network distribution channels, LinkedIn ensures your LinkedIn Publishing post content is high quality.
How does LinkedIn do that?
LinkedIn gives your article a spam score and a confidence score for how likely it is to be a job posting or an event promotion. If the scores exceed a particular threshold, your LinkedIn Publishing post will not be distributed to your network.
Overall Online Visibility
Your LinkedIn Publishing post can also be seen by all 400+ million LinkedIn members and via Google when it is searched.
